Moving!

So, we sold our house and we move out on Oct. 16th. We have put a contract on a house that is 10 minutes away and are waiting for the home inspection of that house to finalize the deal! More info to come but I've been slacking on blogging because my life/house has been flipped upside down. If you are reading this, you probably know me and know that when my house isn't organized, I feel crazy. So here is to crazy for the next 3 weeks!

The Butterflies have flown!

If you read my previous post, we have been watching & learning about butterflies for about a week or so and today we released them!

We used a flower to gently remove them from the habitat and then watched them fly away. I love the expressions on Hannah's face as they flew away!

Lily and Hannah

My beautiful niece, Lily bares a lot of resemblance to Hannah - it has been funny to compare their pictures! The first one is at birth and the next one is at 5 months!

First Day of Preschool

Hannah had her first day of preschool today. She has attended London Bridge Baptist Preschool since she was 2 1/2. Her teachers are Ms. Jen and Ms. Suzanne. She is so excited and popped out of bed this morning ready to go! Here are some pictures:

Butterflies

A few weeks ago we went to the Library and they had 2 habitats set up for butterflies. They had just emerged from their Chrysalis and were flying around. Hannah was completely enthralled. For her birthday we decided to get her a habitat. It comes with a coupon to send away for live butterflies. We sent it away and about 10 days later we had a sealed jar with 5 little caterpillars in it. They have their food and everything in their container so you just watch them grow. In about 7 days they climb to the top of the jar and form their chrysalis. After 2 days you move them (very stressful by the way for Chris) into the habitat and wait. Ours took exactly 7 days and all 5 caterpillars made their metamorphosis into butterflies. We have painted lady butterflies. Hannah is so excited to watch them. I haven't snapped any great pictures of them yet (this happened last night) but here are a few:
